The judicious use of facial fillers can create dramatic improvements in appearance. This is achieved by resorting volume in areas of the face where it has been lost or adding volume to emphasise desirable attributes. Dr Cleland strives for a natural look when using facial fillers and will advise you which areas of the face would benefit from the use of these treatments. In certain circumstances where advanced ageing or extreme facial flaws exist Dr Cleland may also discuss with you any alternative surgical treatments which may offer you a better outcome than using fillers alone. This is the benefit of seeing a practitioner who specialises in both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic treatments of the face.

The TCA peel works by removing the more superficial layers of the skin and will aid in the removal of fine lines and wrinkles and can help to tighten loose skin that has taken on a crepe-like appearance, such as that seen beneath the eyes. This type of peel is usually effective in removing small areas of pigmentation and areas of sun damage. As a medium strength chemical peel, most patients can expect approximately 1 week of downtime. Lighter concentration peels can also be used to minimise downtime, particularly where skin changes are less severe.
