FAQS

What happens at my first visit to ONE FACE?

On your first visit please allow some additional time prior to your appointment to complete your new patient documentation.

Please also bring:

  • 1) Your Medicare card
  • 2) Your private health insurance card/details
  • 3) A copy of your referral if this has not already been sent to the clinic
  • 4) A list of your medications

The results of any recent investigations – if you have recently had any radiology performed relevant to your consultation Dr Cleland will want to review these images. Please bring the hard copies if available.

Will Medicare or my private health insurance contribute to the cost of my procedure?

Most health insurers will generally pay towards the cost of procedures which fall under the Medicare Benefits Schedule. On the other hand, surgery solely for cosmetic reasons is generally not covered by Medicare or your health insurer.

Rhinoplasty when performed for nasal obstruction or after trauma is generally claimable.

Blepharoplasty when performed for the removal of excess skin obscuring vision is also likely to be claimable.

The team at One Face will ensure you are aware if your procedure falls under the Medicare Benefits Schedule. Please be aware that some insurance policies do not cover all procedures.
